Just before the 90th birthday of Ambassador Andrew Young, the agency was tasked with creating an exhibit and accompanying coffee table book titled “The Many Lives of Andrew Young.” This concept was conceived by ABOA and meticulously executed in time for his 90th birthday celebration in Atlanta on March 17, 2022. Due to the exhibit’s unique design, the agency has successfully toured it to 10 different venues over the past four years. Looking ahead, the agency has secured additional bookings, enabling thousands of individuals to gain insights into the legacy and inspiration of Ambassador Young.
Working with the CT and Octavia Vivian Foundation, the agency successfully coordinated the publishing of his memoir, “It’s in the Action – Memoirs of a Nonviolent Lawyer,” and his first book, “Black Power and the American Myth.” His memoir, which was published by New South Books in Montgomery, Alabama, was instrumental in developing a curriculum sponsored by Home Depot. This 16-week college curriculum has been successfully implemented in several colleges in Atlanta and the southeastern United States. The foundation is now adapting the course for high school curricula and exploring other potential applications.
Shortly after the war in Ukraine began in February 2022, our long‑time client, Emory Morsberger, contacted us to help coordinate the delivery of donated medical supplies to hospitals across Ukraine in June of that year. We equipped him with the tools necessary to share videos and reports throughout his trip, which helped generate publicity and build social media momentum. Following his two‑week journey, the agency launched the HelpingUkraine.US website.
Working alongside Morsberger and Olga Gorman, the organization’s Executive Director, ABOA also created a designated fund through the Community Foundation for Northeast Georgia. Since this new charity’s inception, donations have supported the distribution of more than $5 million in aid to communities throughout Ukraine.
In recent years, much of the focus has shifted to helping children escape active war zones and cope with emotional trauma. One of the latest efforts is a children’s arts program that has inspired remarkable artwork from participants ages eight to twelve. These pieces have been sold to raise additional funds, which continue to support and expand the program.
ABOA organized a celebration to honor President Jimmy Carter’s life in May of 2021 to highlight the significance of Jimmy Carter Boulevard in fostering the growth of the international community in Gwinnett County. The event was attended by Jason Carter, President Carter’s grandson, and Ambassador Andrew J. Young, who delivered eloquent speeches about President Carter’s contributions, not only to the greater Atlanta area but also to our nation and the world, garnering over a billion media impressions globally.
The newly formed 501(c)(3) nonprofit, Street Charity, sought assistance from ABOA to make its debut in Atlanta during the annual QSR Evolution Conference in October 2025 at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis. We were able to generate significant publicity and pulled together representatives from the City of Atlanta, Fulton County, Feeding Georgia, the Georgia Restaurant Association, and others to perfectly launch this organization. Following the launch of Street Charity at the QSR Evolution Conference, we focused on the Money 20/20 Conference in Las Vegas, where we immediately contacted city leadership, including the Mayor of Las Vegas and the Chairman of the Clark County Board of Commissioners, where the event was held. We also reached out to the Salvation Army Southern Nevada as part of our collaboration efforts. Our goal was to engage local leadership to help localize the story and secure media coverage. We knew they were offering media exposure through the 300+ media outlets they projected would be in attendance. Through our ongoing efforts, we secured not only a media relations slot but also a Sunday afternoon program, which resulted from our sustained contact with various levels of leadership within the production team for the conference.
When Carol Tomé left Home Depot to form a family foundation where she felt her career would lend itself, and before being recruited to become the CEO of UPS, ABOA worked with the Tomés to establish the purpose and look of their foundation. The agency created the branding for the foundation and assisted in identifying a scholarship program for select colleges in Utah, Colorado, Georgia, and Florida. These programs have supported hundreds of students through their college scholarship program and have created a sense of community among those who have been tapped for this honor.

GreenRock Partners, CEO Jay Scott, proposed to film campus developer Ryan Millsap, that he consider exchanging his 53-acre property with the DeKalb Parks Department. This challenge required ABOA’s collaboration with neighborhood associations’ leadership, the DeKalb County Parks & Recreation Department, the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners, and the film industry to secure support for the land exchange, which sparked significant controversy. ABOA successfully navigated the challenge through in-depth networking and relationship development, educating the community about the precious 53 acres that would eventually become Michelle Obama Park. Despite ongoing efforts, the county commissioners’ approval to execute the property exchange has made a thousand continuous acres of green space a reality. Now, ABOA is actively working to expand this acreage and further develop the vision for important green spaces in the metro area.
Ron Clark became a schoolteacher by accident in South Carolina. With the joy of leading young minds, Clark decided to take on one of the toughest public-school districts in our country, in Harlem, New York City. His success in bringing innovation to teaching and learning, and his passion for helping kids, brought him to Atlanta to seek an opportunity to create his own non-profit middle school. He hired ABOA to help realize that dream, which became the Ron Clark Academy. The agency was involved in everything from establishing his original board, his original fundraisers, and creating the identity for his innovative approach to teaching on a local and national basis.
In September 2024, ABOA organized and executed an all-day summit in collaboration with the Senior Associate Rector of All Saints Episcopal Church, The Rev. Dr. Andrew Barnett, Dr. David Orr, and the Executive Director of Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, Codi Norred. The summit featured panels and open dialogue breakout sessions, where curated thought leaders from across the nation engaged in discussions on pressing issues of the day. The topics covered were “Democracy at Risk,” “The Value of Truth,” “The Climate Crisis,” “Climate, Democracy, and Health,” and “Our Moral Responsibility.”
Through an introduction by a former client of the agency, ABOA met with representatives of National Jewish Health and came up with the idea to create a gala to raise funds and recognition for critical research and treatments. National Jewish Health is recognized as the nation’s leading health center for researching and treating respiratory diseases. Since 2023, ABOA has put on two Legends of Atlanta galas for National Jewish Health, honoring world-renowned art dealer Fay Gold and former United States Ambassador to the United Nations and civil rights icon Andrew Young. A third gala is currently being planned, this time honoring groundbreaking activist, executive, and journalist Pat Mitchell.
For over a decade, A. Brown Olmsted Associates played a pivotal role in transforming Grady Health System’s image and reputation as a community-centric public health institution. Initially, only Fulton and DeKalb County Boards of Commissioners were involved in funding and reputation development for the Southeast’s largest health system. However, through the establishment of a Board of Visitors, the development of programs with the Grady Health Foundation, and an ongoing public relations campaign, Grady successfully reinvented its image. This transformation established the groundwork for its sustained success, earning it the distinction of being the seventh busiest emergency department in the nation.
